Curriculum

Echo Mountain Intermediate School (EMIS) is passionate about guiding students toward success. The staff goes above and beyond to tailor instruction to the unique needs of each student, using data as a guide.

The dedicated teachers come together regularly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to share their knowledge and discuss innovative ways to measure student growth while improving their teaching practices.

The curriculum is designed to meet the high standards outlined in the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. The school's goal is to equip students with the skills they need to become creative and critical thinkers, ready to thrive in the 21st-century school and work environment. 

Echo Mountain believes in a comprehensive approach to literacy, encompassing reading, writing, speaking, listening, and digital literacy. 

Echo Mountain International School is passionate about providing students with a well-rounded education. The school offers diverse classes, including Art, Music, PE, Media, and Technology, as well as core subjects. The school firmly believes that technology is crucial for success in today's world, so it has integrated it into the curriculum and offers students in Grades 4-6 access to Chromebooks and computer labs. Media and Technology classes equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their future careers.
